HANDS OF GORO formed in November 2016 with the shared desire to strike fear
of the infamous half-man/half-dragon into the heart of humanity.
Hailing from opposite sides of the pond, founding guitarist Tom Draper
(ex-Carcass, ex-Spirit Adrift, ex-Angel Witch) and bassist Adrian Maestas
(Slough Feg) conspired to form a band that would spearhead a sound known
as the Third Wave Of British Heavy Metal (TWOBHM).
In 2020, the two recruited drummer Avinash Mittur (Nite, Wretched Stench),
completing the current lineup.
They have released one album, Hands Of Goro (2024-BSP Records) with elements
of anthemic and epic traditional heavy metal with torrents of harmonized
technicality and even brief ventures into more free-form exploratory territory.
The shadow of the four-armed beast is cast.
Goro will dominate over Earthrealm.
Hand of Fire is an American thrash metal band that originated in California. The project was initially formed in 2010 as a collaboration between Jim Settle (formerly of Tantrum of the Muse) and Corey Steger (formerly of Underoath) before evolving into a full band in 2015 under Settle's leadership. After signing with Rottweiler Records in 2016, they released their critically acclaimed debut album Nuclear Sunrise in 2017. The band has undergone several lineup changes throughout their career, notably including brief stints with former Testament bassist Greg Christian and Jungle Rot drummer Jason Borton. As of 2024, the band consists of Jim Settle (vocals), Tiago Souza (lead guitar), Forrest Nelson (rhythm guitar), Scotty McRib (bass, backing vocals), and Gary Neff (drums). Their sound has been characterized as a modern take on thrash metal, drawing influences from both classic and contemporary metal styles
Karmic Debt was formed during the pandemic by Michael Nadal and Scotty McRib, in which the two safely worked on music as a duo at their local practice space. The band became a trio upon the addition of Joseph Clerici in 2021, and played its first show in February of 2022. Since then, the group has continued to write songs crossing over thrash and punk, with their individual sensibilities and tastes permeating the traditional styles. The band released their debut EP "WW3" in late 2023, and has begun to hit the road. Expect us, cowards!
